Housing Services – Housing Rehabilitation Program

The Housing Rehabilitation Program provides critical home repair and modernization services for eligible Kletsel Dehe Wintun Nation tribal citizens who own and reside in substandard housing. Funded through the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA), this program helps ensure that tribal homes are safe, healthy, and livable for families in need.

Key Features of the Program:

-Home Repairs & Upgrades: Essential repairs such as roofing, plumbing, heating/cooling, accessibility upgrades, and other safety improvements.

-Health & Safety Focus: Prioritizes issues that pose health and safety risks, including structural hazards, environmental hazards, and inadequate utilities.

-Elder & Disability Access: Supports home modifications to improve accessibility for elders or individuals with disabilities.

-Emergency Response: Addresses urgent rehabilitation needs when homes are uninhabitable or hazardous.

-Eligibility Requirements: Open to low-income, adult tribal citizen homeowners meeting program criteria and funding availability.

Participants must provide documentation of homeownership, income, and residence. Rehabilitation assistance is provided as a grant and is paid directly to vendors or contractors, not to the applicant or family members.
